Noah's Ark Playscheme
Elstree, Borehamwood & Radlett Mencap
Noah’s Ark provides a valuable respite care service for families of children with disabilities, in the Hertsmere area. We accept children with learning disabilities aged 5-16yrs and will also accommodate siblings.
When the playscheme runs:
The scheme runs for approx one week at Easter and four weeks during the Summer holidays, Monday - Friday 10.00am - 3.00pm.
Where we are:
We run from a local school in Borehamwood.
What we offer:
We provide fun and stimulating activities, outings and entertainment, for example, trips to soft play, theatre, farms and parks, bowling, as well as on-site activities such as bouncy castle, creative play, entertainers etc.
Caring for your children:
On arrival at the playscheme, each child is greeted by a member of the friendly staffing team led by the Head Play Leader. Every day, each child has a named member of staff who is responsible for that child’s individual care.
Children bring their own packed lunch; drinks and snacks are provided, taking dietary requirements into account. Medication can be administered where necessary, with the consent of a parent/carer.
Daily cost : £10 (families on income support are exempt)
Our next Playscheme will be held during the Summer holidays 2012.
